President

Garry is an Indiana native who, after graduating from Indiana State University with a degree in    Business Management, started his expansive career of over forty years in the electrical construction industry. Garry began this career by completing the electrical apprenticeship program, which quickly led into several leadership roles on automation projects. These leadership duties continued to expand as he took on a project management role, then as an account manager for the special projects group. These grounding experiences in servant leadership are what prepared Garry for the leadership role he now holds as the President of Industrial Electric.

Being ultimately responsible for all aspects of Industrial Electric’s business, Garry takes leadership guidance from his expansive understanding of the industry and our core values of safety, accountability, quality, and integrity. We feel safety should come first as our employees are our greatest asset, and it is our responsibility to ensure their safety every day. It goes without saying that customer satisfaction is what has allowed for the success of Industrial Electric. We strive to maintain these high levels of customer satisfaction by our relentless pursuit of personal accountability, quality, and integrity in our work.

Garry finds it personally rewarding to work through the challenges of delivering complex projects that are completed and commissioned under budget and on time. Thankfully, Industrial Electric has been privileged to have been involved with a wide diversity of projects. Our projects have included aviation facilities, level 3 containment facilities, bulk manufacturing, fire and safety systems, telecom infrastructure upgrades, plant site distribution systems, and pharma manufacturing turnarounds.

At Industrial Electric, we realize that life isn’t only about work, but it is also about building up the community that surrounds us. Garry encourages the Industrial Electric team to participate in volunteerism in their communities and he leads the team by example. Garry has served continuously on not-for-profit boards for over 30 years, and in 2021 Mayor Hogsett awarded him the Mayor’s Community Service Award for this achievement and for volunteering his time and talents “toward the betterment of Indianapolis.”
